ABOUT

Allison L. Baxter (b. 1999—St.Paul, Minnesota) is a sculptress and draftswoman whose journey began amidst the vibrant artistic community of Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the age of 16, she embarked on her artistic path at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, a high school outside of Minneapolis, where she was nurtured by mentors who ignited her passion for classical artistry.

Allison began her formal training in sculpture and drawing at The Florence Academy of Art in 2018, driven by a passion for classical techniques. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she earned a BA in Religious Studies from St. Olaf College, graduating in 2021.

Allison’s work has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with recent showcases in London and Pieve di Cadore, the birthplace of Tiziano Vecellio. Her work delves into the rich narrative landscapes of Roman and Greek mythology, as well as resonant themes drawn from the broader Christian tradition—often casting friends and family as her models for the allegorical figures bringing these ancient stories to life.

Currently dividing her time between her hometown of Minnesota and the artistic haven of Florence, Allison's work continues to evolve as she explores new avenues of expression and delves deeper into the profound complexities of the human experience.
